Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning - SEAL

As part of our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) work in school we are following the SEAL programme. This programme is designed to teach the children all about keeping safe, healthy and friendly. It consists of 7 different sections, New Beginnings, Getting On and Falling Out, Going for Goals, Good to be Me, Relationships, Changes and Bullying. Each half term a different section is studied. The work on bullying takes place throughout the year. The programme consists of whole school activities which tend to take place in assemblies, and age appropriate class activities, which are taught during PSHE lessons. In addition there are a set of activities which can be carried out at home by parents.

This half term we are studying the Getting on and Falling Out unit. A copy of the parent’s activities can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. Please note that it consists of 22 pages of full colour. I would recommend that you read it on screen and only print out the pages which you think you are going to use. Not all of the activities are suitable for every age group
