We had a great time when the Road Safety Lady came to visit our school. She showed us how to cross the roads correctly.

In Year 2 as part of our History we visited Cregneash. Cregneash is near PortSt Mary. It is at the top of a hill. We learned about how people used to live on the island a long time ago. We also made some butter, visited Harry Kelly's cottage and made 'Bonnag' and tasted it! Then we found out how the farming industry was so important on the island.

As part of our Geography topic we have been learning about Nepal. We found out where the people live and what they eat. We also found out what type of clothes they wear. We were lucky enough to have lots of resources from Nepal and we tried on some clothes and used the same type of things. We carried a basket like the Nepalese people have to.

We did a sponsored walk around the school playground to raise money to send to Nepal. We walked around the school playground five times. Here is a picture of us all when we had finished our walk.

We had a Manx day!

We had visitors to school who taught us how to do Manx dancing, play Manx music, learn how to speak Manx and we listened to some of the Manx fairy tales. It was great fun!!!!!

In Design Technology we designed our own puppets and we learnt how to sew them together. Here are a couple of our designs!
