Bearded Dragon |
Bearded dragons are lizards that come from Australia. Sometimes people keep them as pets, but they really need specialist care to keep them healthy and happy. |
They are not fussy eaters - they will feed on many different plants, invertebrates, and even mice and small lizards. This helps them to survive in places where food is scarce.
Their chin, which is covered with spiky scales, can puff up and turn black to look like a real beard! They do this to impress a mate or scare off rivals. |
