Beavers are amazing! With their large front teeth they can cut down tall trees to bring a supply of tasty leaves and bark within reach. | |

Beavers can close their lips behind their front teeth so that they can gnaw wood underwater without swallowing any water! | |

Because they like the entrance to their den to be underwater, they build dams across the river using logs and branches, to raise the water level. The only other animal that can do this is man! | |
