Coatis have long, bendy noses and long stripey tails. They are extremely good at climbing , using their long tails to help them balance. Much of their time is spent up in the trees, searching for fruit and insects to eat. |
Coatis hold their long stripey tails straight up in the air so that other members of their group will be able to see them. |
Coatis are able to bend their ankles backwards - very useful when climbing down trees head first! |
