This tiny monkey has a crest which looks as if it is made from soft, fluffy white cotton. When it is excited or wants to show off it raises its white crest for an impressive display.

Did you know?

About three quarters of the cotton-top tamarin's forest home in Columbia has been destroyed, so it is likely that the species will become extinct unless people take action.

Wow!

When baby tamarins are born (usually twins) the father helps with the birth and looks after them , only handing them back to mum at feeding times!
