Parma Wallaby |
The parma wallaby is smaller than the red-necked wallaby (also at the Wildlife Park) and much more rare in the wild. Like all types of wallaby, it comes from Australia and carries its baby in a pouch. |

Parma wallabies come from the forests of New South Wales, which is in the south east corner of Australia. They are sometimes known as white-throated wallabies.
At one time the Parma Wallaby was thought to be extinct. Then, in the 1960s it was discovered that some had survived.
