This big, handsome black and white bird likes to build its nest on roofs and chimneys in many parts of Europe. It is said to bring good luck, and once upon a time children were told that new babies were delivered by storks.

Did you know?

Storks do not like cold weather, so every year they fly south to spend the winter in Africa.

Wow!

To get from Europe to Africa the stork must fly thousands of miles, yet it will return to the same nest every summer!
